Joocy, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon

Well if you go by the name, you will expect fresh juices. But no, Joocy is much more than juices or raw eatables. It is experimenting well in Indian and continental cuisine and some of this experimentation has paid well. Here are the dishes I tried recently:

Butter chicken rice : Who could have thought to mix our Butter chicken with aromatic rice and serve it as a gourmet dish? Well this one tasted wonderful. The gravy was well mixed with rice. The soft, chewy and juicy boneless chicken pieces redolent with the flavours of tomatoes and coriander can surely give you a food coma. RECOMMENDED.

Grilled fish : The fish was grilled to perfection – thin crust and soft underlying layers. I wish for more herbs on the fish, but otherwise it was lovely. The potato mash had a fine and smooth texture but could have used some crushed black pepper or chopped garlic. The lightly grilled vegetables – zucchini, carrots, French beans and bell peppers were fine. This ensemble was served with finely chopped guava flavoured with lemon – fresh flavours all around!

Ginger Ale : Not recommended. The flavours of ginger and mint were not very prominent here.
