The frigid wind is resting After a tiring winter But I’m afraid to bloom Fearing the return of the snow. I yearn to bloom Because spring is near The pollens are poking now and then Assuring me that it is time to bloom. The spring air caresses my petals Pecking me to open to, The…

A spacious ambience, comfortable seating and a fulfilling yet healthy menu are what I desire now when I am going out for a delicious Italian meal. Well, the recently opened L’Osteria Bella at Holiday Inn Aerocity, Delhi is just that place and then so much more! Aranchini Funghi: These melt in the mouth creamy risotto…

To those who say food blogging is easy, please do take notice of those pearls of sweat on my face while posing with the breakfast after clicking the same plate at different angles. And yes, we do not have maggi/top ramens noodles everyday, it is a once a week ritual.

Only my rumbling belly knows how much I miss the not so usual South Indian delights. We have been cooking Idli, Dosa, Sambhar, Uttapam and coconut chutney since ages but the other South Indian dishes – not so much! When we got to know that Chattynadu, a Gurgaon based South Indian specialty restaurant is delivering…

There is a saying among the foodies of Delhi that howsoever fancy dishes you might have, the tummy gets the ultimate satisfaction from a Mc Donald’s burger only. Covid induces pandemic is indeed a troubling time and specially for those of us who are away from loved ones and yearn to hug them. Keeping the…

Finally perfecting the #pestosauce recipe! Presenting #farfalle in #pesto

When I feel bloated or over weight (being overweight is indeed a feeling), I tend to go on a detox. But since I have a huge appetite, fruits and raw/boiled vegetables aren’t fulfilling to me. Enter #pyaazkiroti – basically #pyaazparatha without ghee. A bowl of yogurt to aid digestion and bam! I have a healthy…

Unplugged Courtyard recently launched their Monsoon menu and things couldn’t get any better!! The restaurant is a perfect place to dine out and has an impressive ambience. Here are the dishes that I tried- Chennai Express Cutlet – This one is made with rice and has a south indian flavour to it. Crunchy to the…

This year began on a cold note, and I listen to the resolutions everyone quotes, A new beginning is waiting for me there, but I lack the excitement because you are not here. The winter continues to send shivers across, and I gather myself to overcome your loss. The icy weather coerces layers upon layers,…

Till 2018, I had associated winters with a runny nose, a dry coughing throat and air that was too cold to get out. But in December 2018, I visited Dhanaulti and could finally understand why many people are so fond of the crisp winter air. You see, I misunderstood the dreaded winter air with the…

Narmada river is accorded the same status in Madhya Pradesh as The Ganges is accorded in the northern states. “Maa Narmada” is the preferred goddess for the people here. This picture was taken at the Maheshwar Narmada ghat on the last day of Shraadh in 2019. Jodhpur city in the background.

Jaswant Thada at Jodhpur offers serene gardens to sit and relax under the desert sun.

How in the presence of water, the inner happiness is transformed into a jolly existence.

There are a few places which will hold your attention as well as the enchanting Jaswant Thada.

That is a green bee-eater I spotted at Jim Corbett National Park.

Corbett Woods Resort at Rampur, offers such lovely corners to click and to get clicked.

The overflowing love is always difficult to capture because it has so many moods and shades. But here it is, in plain sight, on my face, in my smile.

The heart of Hindustan hides such wonders that it is difficult to let go of the moments and the memories there.

The bamboo curtains of our childhood are a thing of past now. I feel they were better compared to the polyester curtains that we are using these days – synthetic fibre which are not able to shield us from the heat wave. Nostalgia hit us at Mehrangarh Fort where these bamboo curtains protect the fort…

And may the odds be ever in your favour! Caption credits: #thehungergames

If there is one cuisine I can have any time, anywhere, it is Italian. A cheese drenched and creamy dish with a glass of red wine – my my, the evening is set. Artusi is a luxurious fine dine Italian restaurant located in One Horizon Centre. The decor is classical European with intricate chandeliers carrying…

Cichhetti in Italian means “small bites” and is a regular favourite in the streets of Venice. Going by the same notion, Cichhetti by Mr. Beans is into serving calorie counted dishes which fulfil you but just in the right way with no overwhelmed belly. That way you are able to savour more dishes with no…

Baked Jalapeno and Tobasco Chicken Wings: Never knew that the baked wings could be soft with the flesh coming off the bones so easily! But it seemed that the wings are dipped in tangy spices rather than getting imbibed in them. The texture is good, the flavour is average considering the presence of Tobasco sauce….

The food industry continues to develop at an exponential pace and this has resulted in a mushrooming of outlets which fail to deliver on quality. So when you visit a small café specialising in Italian cuisine which surprises you with their unusual menu and mouth watering dishes, you know that you will have a good…

With time and tasting, I have developed a taste for authentic Italian and it is always a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant serving good dishes with the ingredients sourced from Italy. Like Italy, situated in the hustle bustle of the M block market, GK-1 is one of the those places which offer peace along…

Authentic cuisine seems to be the rage these days and when coupled with “organic” and “healthy”, the foodies are bound to get something different yet exciting. Located in the bustling Select Citywalk, this little restaurant is bound to keep you hooked to their amazing menu. All their ingredients are freshly imported and organically produced. No…

Food innovation is the current trend in the food industry and restaurants experimenting with fusion food are sure to attract customers time and again. Because combination dishes invite a loyal fan following and I am one of those people who love to explore new cuisines, even the blend of two or more. The Chatter House…

This new property in Delhi is actually a junction of multiple cuisine trains. Spread across a huge area with different sections, this one boasts of a distinct sushi and dimsums bar, The Big Baker with a lovely assortment of desserts, a pizzeria, an outdoor seating area under the shade of trees (full marks for that)…

An Italian setting with relaxed wooden interiors, peaceful surroundings, slow French music in the background and a lovely authentic Italian menu is what this place stands for. They have a range of lip smacking subtle dishes and delicate imported wines. Chicken cob salad: Medium thick slices of soft grilled chicken served with chewy bacon, boiled…

I thought Jaime’s Italiano was the go to place when it came to authentic European cuisine. But after a rushed visit to Pizza Express, I found another heaven for subtle European cuisine. The décor is elegant and classy with polished marble interiors and spacious ambience. The colossal open kitchen and bar are as immaculate as…
