Tandoori mushrooms: Tangy and spicy mushrooms which are juicy as well.
Dahi ke sholey: They are deep fried yes but airy and light at the same time. Not to forget the creamy insides with the balance between the sweetness of yogurt and the scovian factor of green chillies.
Cheese Burst Soya Chaap: As if the mellowness of this soya chaap wasn’t enough, these guys dipped the same in a cheesy sauce to entice our bellies.
Zaffraani Paneer: Paneer and assorted colourful bell peppers compliment each other in an excellent way. But when served in a hot onion based gravy and topped with carom seeds, do provide a tantalizing experience.
Paneer Tikka Lasagna:
Tete-a-tete or Guftagu is what we yearn for after a long hectic day at work or an unpredictable week. And when that is coupled by Sher-o-shayari, stand up comedy or poetic renditions, then the experience becomes super special.
The relaxing interiors coupled with myriad colours will enchant you and the love food counter will definitely keep you salivating.
The menu boasts of many lip smacking and never heard before dishes like chicken rollers, fish fingers which are coated in KFC style, red velvet shake and what not!
So I finally visit this junkyard themed cafe in the prime location behind Select City Walk.
This place is specifically meant for those groovy weekends where you can come with your mates and relax with more than a glass of alcohol while listening to the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s chartbusters in the genre of Rock n Roll, R&B, metal and rock.
The ambience does remind you of a typical junkyard but wait till you get your cutlery. The other end of the forks, knives and spoons are shaped in the form of a screwdriver. That is one hell of creativity!
Moving on to food, surprisingly the dishes are innovative and flavourful. Usually such places are more famous for drinks than for food but hey, surprise surprise!
Stuffed grilled chicken breast with spinach and oozy mushroom sauce: A super juicy breast of chicken drenched in creamy mushroom and spinach sauce is appetizing enough but when paired with the likes of grilled vegetables and subtlely flavoured potato mash, oh my my! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Chicken kothe dimsums: The very subtle mixture of minced chicken and onion enveloped in a thin dimsums covering which is pan seared at base will leave you in splits but a slight off taste of lemongrass might be a hindrance. RECOMMENDED
Tandoori wasabi prawns: The prawns are fresh and for the first time, I tasted creamy tandoori prawns. I could have never imagined the combination of prawns and wasabi working so well but surprisingly, here it did. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Chicken and mushrooms lasagna: Ahhhh, lasagna after so long. The silky lasagna sheets drenched in a well balanced sauce of tomatoes, black pepper and cheese with finely minced chicken and mushroom chunks added for extra zing. Trust me when I say that this one particularly is addictive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Pan seared fish with fresh basil cream: Well grilled fish fillets topped with a very unusual but appetite sauce is a foodie’s dream come true. Specially when the foodie in question is a fitness freak and counts calories to the brim. RECOMMENDED
Food innovation is the current trend in the food industry and restaurants experimenting with fusion food are sure to attract customers time and again. Because combination dishes invite a loyal fan following and I am one of those people who love to explore new cuisines, even the blend of two or more.
The Chatter House has earned a fine reputation for experimenting with dishes and boy, they have succeeded in changing our palette preferences. Who could say no their Blue Cheese Naan or Port Wine with chocolate syrup?
For our Rock n Roll fans, this is the perfect place with the framed posters of The Beatles, Def Leppard, The Eagles and what not with a rivalling playlist is sure to seduce you.
Butter Chicken Spring Roll: Fusion food at its best! Who could have thought of combining the staple curry of Delhiites with the famed Oriental snack item? The spring roll has a light and flaky exterior with tender chicken pieces inside. The chicken is slightly drizzled with the smooth and creamy butter chicken gravy which is served separately and you have to dip your spring roll in the curry to enjoy this mouth watering decadence. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Garden in a bowl: Fresh vegetables – black olives, carrots, broccoli and cherry tomatoes along with roasted almonds served in a tangy and creamy yoghurt and eggplant based dressing and garnished with smoked olive dust – healthy as well as light. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Blue cheese Naan: This dish has been the most talked about snack item since the inception of this place. The chewy naan is redolent with the pungent flavour of blue cheese and chopped pineapple are adorned on its top so as to cut the sharpness of the cheese. Served with our very own Dal makhni which is ohh-so-creamy and we have a winner here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Bacon Wrap Mac n Cheese: Why in the name of heaven did I binge on it? Because I can not stop craving it. The melt-in-the-mouth macaroni drenched in creamy and cheesy sauce and wrapped in a bacon strip which is smoked to perfection – bacon is crispy but not chewy and the mac n cheese is not too cheesy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Mushroom Risotto: Subtlety defines this – smooth and not so creamy texture of the mushroom sauce with a topping of cherry tomatoes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Fettucine Fungi De Basco: Their fettucine is prepared in house and when combined in the creamy white wine based sauce with the addition of mushroom ragout – we could not keep our hands off! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
