Pondicherry is a beautiful city and the French Colony situated near the Promenade Beach offers so many options for a food explorer. The place is mushrooming with French caffes and restuarants and one is delighted by the authenticity of the French dishes served here. On my recent visit to Pondicherry, I was lucky enough to savour breakfast at Indian Kaffe Express, which is a cozy little acffe in the White Town.

The caffe has soothing and comfortable interiors and the servers are ever so welcoming. The service is a bit slow as they make everything fresh here. Here are a few dishes that I tried :

Pancakes with honey : The pancakes were sweet, fluffy, soft and way too good! Theuy were topped with sugar dust. This dish consisting of two pancakes was fulfilling for a person. The thick honey was an add on and made the pancakes delectable.

Waffles with maple syrup : The waffles were crispy on the outside and a bit soft from the insides. The warmth of the waffles was complemented by the sweetness of maple syrup which was sweet as well as a bit bitter.
