The Punjab Kitchen, Sector 56, Gurgaon

“What would scintillate and tingle your palates?” Well that is the line which attracted me the most while reading about this delivery outlet specializing in authentic Punjabi cuisine. They have a daily menu boasting of enticing vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. The meals are home cooked with an added layer of sophistication, as the site claims. So here are my views on the non vegetarian meal I tasted:

Mixed vegetables: It tastes so like the one cooked at home. The green capscicum, cauliflower, carrots and the potatoes work their magic and provide a light accompaniment to the chappati. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Chicken: Juicy chicken served in a light gravy. The gravy is thin and has the finest juliennes of ginger and tomato and onion rings. However it was slightly salty. RECOMMENDED.

Raita sour: A bit on the sour side.

Kheer: The aroma of the Kewra (screwpine) essence is enchanting but the whole ensemble was too sweet for me. It could also have been thicker.

Chappati: I never usually write about chappatis but they were made just like the ones made by my Mom. RECOMMENDED.
