A new entrant catering to denizens who love their gourmet meals, Greenz has finally opened its doors to Gurgaon. This is the first outlet of Greenz in North India after establishing themselves in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. They believe in serving genuinely healthy meals – brown rice, fresh salads, multi-grain sandwiches and wheat pastas. The dishes are cooked in olive oil and rock salt which are great for health and appealing for the taste buds too.
Here are a few dishes that I tried recently :
Smoked chicken delight sandwich : Never had a better sandwich! The brown breads were crisp and enclosed small bits of chicken tossed in sweet barbeque sauce. Lovely!
Asian Bean Sprout Salad : A very different take on our usual boring sprout salad. The dressing used primarily consisted of vinegar and soy sauce which made the salad tangy as well as sweet. The finely chopped mushrooms, sweet corn, onions, cabbage and other vegetables along with the sprouts were delightful though I wished the salad was a bit less salty.
Fit Fine Fish meal : Four fillets of fish were served with rice. I did not like the dish as it tasted bland. The fish could have been grilled better as it was disintegrating and was smelly as well. The only respite was came in the form of small broccoli pieces.
Complimentary salad : Fresh lettuce, red cabbage, sweet corn kernels, bell peppers, tomatoes and jalapenos make this up. The salad was good to taste and went well with the sweet, spicy and tangy dip provided. Though I wish the sweet corn kernels were boiled.
