A perfect place to relax and unwind after a long hectic day. The ambience is simple with soft yellow lights that makes you feel comfortable.
Here are the dishes that I tried-
Parle-G Shake – This is the first time I heard of this shake. Reminisce about your childhood by indulging in this beauty. It seems moderately sweet when you take the first sip but later on it seems alot sweeter. RECOMMENDED.
Beetroot Seekh Kebab – Beetroot is one veggie that has crawled it’s way into the menus of some major restaurants. This kekab was soft and tender and a little bit spicy. You will not be satisfied with just one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
#nofilter Tenders – It tikles your taste buds in all the right ways. A crispy exterior with soft filling of cottage cheese inside is a must try. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Chicken Chatkara Pizza – Oodles of cheese and chicken tikka on a pizza, need we ask for more? Chicken tikka was well marinated and juicy as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Butter Chicken Pasta – Something to rejoice for all the butter chicken lovers, this pasta is served with garlic naan instead of garlic bread. A perfect fusion of Italian with Indian, this pasta is creamy and lusciouss.
#nofilter Fusion Burger – A monstrous patty which is made of minced chicken and lamb. It is tender but it is quite heavy as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
It seems that the mushrooming of delivery outlets is going to continue for long, specially the Mughlai based cuisine ones. Handi Xpress counts itself in this section with the addition of barbeque dishes and the Chinese ones.
Service and delivery: On time and well packed.
Moving on to the food, here are the items I savoured:
Afghani Tangri Kebab: An adorable twist to our decadent Tangri Kebab – the rich cream hugging the leg pieces and lending its silkiness to the succulent chicken. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Butter chicken: Too tangy – tasted like tomato soup though the gravy was smooth and creamy.
Mutton Dum Biryani: Average rice grade, zero penetration of spices to the insides of the mutton and no flavour except the typical hotness of our gem garam masala – not recommended at all.
Delhi is the melting pot of myriad cultures and this very tag is one the many specialties of the national capital. The presence of a composite culture has had a profound effect on the culinary treats that “saadi dilli” (our Delhi) has to offer. Gradually, the “dilli ka khaana” has evolved to such levels that a Delhiite will fail to imagine his/her life without it.
Dilli BC, a delivery based outlet, is specializing in the cuisine of Delhi and would be loved by even a common “Dilliwaala”. The “BC” in the name does refer to the common lingo of Delhi, that is pretty prevalent here.
Here are some of the items which I recently tasted:
Dal Makhani : For a hardcore non-vegetarian, a simple dal makhani can also be food gasmic. The one served by Dilli BC should be one of the best I have tasted so far. The pulses are well cooked so well that they retain their individuality but blend easily. The addition of fresh cream enriches the dal leaving a smooth taste on your palate. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Bhatti Chicken: I am amazed by the exemplary smoky flavour of the chicken pieces in addition to their tanginess and juiciness. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Mutton Rara: This dish needs substantial improvement. The gravy is rich with the flavours of tomato and garlic but way too spicy. The spice is so agonizing that it is difficult to eat. Though the mutton is succulent. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Butter Chicken: Tender chicken pieces smothered in a heavenly gravy. The gravy is so smooth and the taste is seamless. It needs to be a bit more spicy and tangy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Mirchi Naan: This dish is not meant for the weak hearted. By weak hearted, I am referring to folks who have low tolerance for spice. Because fried green chillies with their seeds intact embedded in the naan giving it a furiously spicy taste. RECOMMENDED FOR SPICE LOVERS.
