Ingredients
500 gm arbi
Mustard oil
Pinch of hing
1/2 tsp ajwain
1/2 chopped onion
Onion ginger garlic paste ( 2 onions, 4-5 medium garlic, 1/2 inch ginger)
Pinch of turmeric powder
Red chilli powder (as per taste)
1.5 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt (as per taste)
Steps
1. Wash arbi and boil it in a cooker till two whistles
2. Take it out and peel. Then flatten the arbi pieces by pressing it lightly between your palms
3. Now deep fry it in mustard oil till it becomes golden and keep it aside in a bowl
4. In mustard oil add hing and ajwain. Let them pop
5. Now add chopped onion and saute till it turns light golden
6. Add onion ginger garlic paste and then add turmeric powder,salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala
8. Now cook this on low flame by covering it with a lid till the oil is released
9. Add fried arbi and and cook for five more minutes. Ensure that the arbi is evenly spread in the pan
10. Serve hot!
