Jungle Jamboree, Sector 29, Gurgaon

We city dwellers are surely moved by the rustic charm that the woody lands or the picturesque beaches bring. And when a buffet based restaurant presents dishes in such settings, my, my, we are in for a roll! Jungle Jamboree scores full marks on the ambience front – woody charm of the forests with the serenity of the underwater caves.

The eatery at sector 29, Gurgaon is divided into two sections – one with the mesmerizing green cover of heavy forests and one with the blue hues of the watery fronts. Some people might get a little bit overwhelmed by the weird lighting. There is a kid section as well where toys and swings are available to keep the tiny tots busy.

Moving on to the items I tried in the buffet :

Gol Gappa: Very light with the wonderful sweetness of yoghurt.

Sweet Corn: Juicy, sweet and soft.

Mildly spiced grilled pineapple: Very soft, juicy, slightly spicy and tangy.

Gosht ki galouti: Served with a crispy roti, this kebab was flavourful and mushy.

Nawabi Murg Tikka: The chicken is succulent and juicy and a must try.

Chilli Garlic Chicken: Slightly sweet but juicy.

Chicken Dimsum: One of the best I have ever had at a buffet based restaurant. The skin is soft and filling is wholesome and yummy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Chilli and Oregano Fish Fingers: Another masterpiece. The fish is so delicate and succulent that you are baffled by the crispy exteriors enclosing such fine juicy fish.

Baked vegetables in white sauce : Yummy vegetables enmeshed in warm and gooey cheese.

However the service is a bit slow – we had to ask the servers around 5 times for the dimsums. Moreover, the staff was not doing anything for the extremely noisy environment.

The place is good for kitty parties and family get togethers but not for corporate lunches.
