Kebab Mistri, Gurgaon

Another Mughlai cuisine based delivery outlet opened in Gurgaon and we, being the food explorers that we are, could not keep our hands away from their preparations. So here are our reviews on some of their items:

Gilawat-e-mistri: Soft, flavourful and aromatic patties of goodness with the waft of green cardomam and served with sweet paratha is as lovely as it gets. Though I wish the mutton mixture had a finer texture and had a small amount of moisture in it.

Gosht Seekh kebab: I will say it again, I drive a tough bargain when it comes to mutton seekh kebabs. They have to be firm, juicy and slightly chewy and not every restaurant makes them right. Well, Kebab Mistri does with a little bit of spiciness. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Murg Kali mirch tikka: Never knew that the combination of black pepper along with fresh cream can lend such decadency to chicken. Ohhh the succulence and the creaminess – food coma at its best!

Rara Gosht: I never developed a taste of mutton cooked in tomatoes and sweet onions, so did not find this one appealing.

Kadhai Murg: Again, this was pretty sweet, probably because of the extra sweetness of onions. The dryness marred the whole preparation as well.

Murg Noormal Biryani: For me, the biryani has to be spot on, but this one failed to make an impression. Copious amounts of caramelised onions make a dish bitter and this biryani was no different.

Kesar Phirni: Loved the smooth creaminess of this wonderful dessert. But the quantity of green cardomam can be reduced.
