Sense Of Spirits, Sector 29, Gurgaon

Sector 29 has become the hub of the extravagant resto bars which are experimenting in new age cuisines. Sense of Spirits is one such newly opened lounge bar which has a host of dishes to delight the customers.

The place is big enough to seat around 50 folks and is dimly lit. They have a good bar counter right in front of the entrance. The seatings are comfortable and they have seating arrangements for small as well as big groups.

Here are the items that I tried :

Bruschetta Tomato n Cheese : The breads were crispy yet soft with chopped tomatoes topped with melted cheese. The cheese had a gooey texture. Loved it!

Pudina kajoo tikki : What a novel twist to our aloo tikki! Paste of cashew nuts and mint leaves blended with mashed potatoes and rolled into tikkis. These were a bit sweet, a bit tangy, crispy from the outside and soft in the core. A lovely preparation and a must try.

Corn Bhel : Sweet corn is the new cottage cheese for vegetarians. These guys used corn kernels instead of rice murmuras in the Bhel. The dish came out to be excellent.

Cheese Parcels : They are actually cheese wantons. These were crispy on the skin and the inside had melted cheese which was ohh so divine. The chopped vegetables inside were also delightful.

Mezze platter : I liked the falafel which was quite crunchy along with the hummus. Both of them were good. The cheese sambuskas were shaped into mini gujiyas and were quite cheesy yet excellent.

LIIT : One of the strongest Long Island Ice Tea I have ever tasted.

Chicken Nachos : Topped with sour cream, these were average as the chicken was very dry and not succulent. The nachos were crispy though.

The menu has a variety of new dishes and they are all optimally priced. Where do you get LIIT under 400 bucks? Sense of Spirits of course.

The service is good and the servers are well informed about the dishes here.
