My streak for trying out new dishes from varied cuisines continues and lately, I have been ordering my breakfast and lunch from World in a box which delivers fresh, healthy and gourmet meals at your doorstep.
The order always arrives well in time and the items are neatly packaged and provided with the necessary cutlery and napkins.
Here are the items I have tried so far :
Mushroom omelette with toasts and veggies : I liked their innovative addition of sauteed chewy mushrooms to our regular omelette. The mushrooms were obviously pre-cooked and they were wrapped under omelette. There was a prominent flavor of black peoppercorns which made it yummier. The lightly suteed vegetables : yellow zucchini, carrots, French beans and mushrooms were a delight to eat.
Tiramisu : The quantity and the quality of this wonderful dessert is excellent here. The delectable layers of frothy fresh cream enclosing the soft coffee flavoured sponge can give you a major sugar rush. Add to it the mini choco chips thrown over the top.
Spanish omelette with veggies and toast : For a hunger stricken morning, this one box is enough for a person. Spanish omelettes are supposed to be heavy since they are cooked with eggs and potatoes and are quite thick compared to the usual omelette. This one was heavy, full of chopped onions, green capsicum and warm melted cheese. The vegetables – carrots, green and yellow zucchini and French beans were lightly sautéed and topped with a subtle herbs.
French omelette with veggies and toast : Simple yet heavenly! A simple fluffy omelette enclosing fresh warm melted buffalo cheese is a sure shot gastronomic affaire. It was seasoned with black pepper which rendered it subtly spicy.
Make your own meal : My meal was grilled chicken breast in mushroom sauce along with sautéed vegetables and potato mash. There were three chicken breasts which were a bit hard and chewy. I wish they were a bit softer. The mushroom sauce was wonderful with the light subtle flavours of mushrooms and a bit sweet as well. The potato mash was a bit lumpy – could have has a smooth texture and more flavourful. The sautéed vegetables – zuchhini, mushrooms, carrots and sweet corn were topped with Italian herbs.
