Barbeque Nation, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon

Barbeque nation still holds its place amongst the best buffet restaurants. The taste and the quality is still good and their hospitality and an eagerness for feedback keep them among the top. When it comes to official lunches or family get together, Barbeque Nation is the place to be.

The ambience at this particular restaurant has a relaxing feel to it. The cash counter has a showcase situated at its back which showcases jars filled with colourful sweets.

I recently went there on an office lunch and here are the dishes I tried:

Hare matar ke Kebab : Made out of sweet corn kernels and peas, this one is crispy on the whole. An innovative dish and a must try.

Fish Adraki Tikka : Lovely preparation! The fish pieces are melt in the mouth and are mediumly spiced.

Crispy corn : The corn kernels are quite crispy and are way too spicy. Another good dish.

Creamy Potatoes : Crispy potatoes drenched in white sauce are a heaven for a food lover.

Chilli garlic prawns : The prawns are a bit crispy on the outside and soft from inside. They are spicy but the the flavour of garlic needs to come out more.

Mutton seekh kebab : Perfect kebabs with hot  spices. The minced mutton is quite fine and the spices are mixed well with it.

Crispy Pineapple : Well this dish has been a trademark of Barbeque Nation copied by other restaurants. The pineapple bits are sautéed over the grill and when you bit into the crispy bits, the juice just flows out of them making them scrumptious.

Noodles : Fine noodles with juillienes of bell peppers and carrots to accompany them is a must try dish in the main course.

Shikari ghost : Slow cooked mutton in a spicy gravy is a totally foodgasmic affair. The pieces are tender and juicy.

Veg hot n sour soup : A thich broth of vegetables, this is quite spicy for a chilli intolerant person like me. But well made.

Phirni : It is served in small bowls topped with rose petals. The consistency is thick and the sweetness is apt. My favorite dish of the day.

Kulfi : Varied flavours of chocolate, paan, almond etc surely blow your mind.
