Sushi Haus, East Of Kailash, New Delhi

Dedicated to Japanese cuisine, Sushi Haus comes pretty close to the way food is served the oriental way. Apart from the delicate Sushi, the menu includes some authentic Japanese preparations.

Sushi Haus believes in using fresh ingredients to conjure their wonderful creations.Their main kitchen in Delhi NCR is supplied with garden fresh elements and the cooking is done at the outlet itself.

Sushi Haus is all set to tickle many more taste buds with their relatively unique, healthy, filling offering of Japanese delights. Their unique menu gives them an edge above others and they are constantly working on innovating it further. So here are some of the items I devoured :

Asparagus Tempura Roll: Delicate chewy sticky rice rolled in salty seaweed enclosing fresh asparagus fried in panko crumbs. The diversity of flavours is commendable here. RECOMMENDED.

California crab roll: This was not the best California crab roll I had. Somehow the stench of the raw crab was overpowering the delicate flavours of this sushi. Moreover, the prominence of tanginess spoiled the whole experience.

Non veg Bento Box: My first experience with a Japanese Bento box went pretty well. The box had Shogyaki Japanese sticky rice, Japanese kimchi salad, kakiage tempura, mix haus pickle and Shogyaki Chicken. The kimchi salad having finely chopped zucchini and carrots was hell spicy due to the presence of red chilli powder. The mushroom and carrot pickle was excellent with sesame seeds adorning them. I particularly loved the soft and chewy shiitake mushrooms in the tangy pickle sauce. The sticky rice went well with the chicken dish though I found the chicken to be a bit bland. Maybe because I tasted the Japanese chicken preparation for the first time. The best part of the box was kakiage which is actually a fried fritter of fresh and juicy vegetables in corn flour batter. It was ohh-so-melt-in-the-mouth and seamless in taste.
